The more you get into a rhythm with your overall marketing platform & social media, you may find yourself asking a common question, "Am I talking TOO MUCH about my business, ministry or artist platform???"
Feelings of doubt and insecurity creep in. Fear knocks at your back door and tells you to be quiet or accuses you of being pushy.
Sound familiar? If so, here are three encouragements we have for you...
1. It may feel prideful, but if you're in it for the good of others, it's humble.
As a leader, it may feel prideful to talk about your mission, vision and to invite people into what you're doing. It's a humble and a vulnerable thing to commit yourself to a purpose and a people. Do keep talking. Don't grow weary in doing good.
2. Social media is a continual conversation.
It's not old-school marketing where you air one commercial and address people only from a platform. Social media is all about interpersonal interaction: Asking people questions, engaging them with new thoughts and resources, sharing behind-the-scenes moments and even simple details from your life. With social media, you're involving other people in the life of your organization business or art platform. Don't quit talking! If you have low engagement, switch tactics, dig in, learn more and keep going.
3. There is a rhythm to the conversation.
Here's a little secret: Only 30% MAX of your posts are supposed to cause someone to take action (donate, buy, etc.). The rest of the time you should be spending on building relationships and personal connections with people. People want your heart. Not your product.
