After YEARS of promoting national & international companies, nonprofits & artists, we're uncovering the secrets behind social media, demystifying the whole process and showing you exactly what you can do to get results.
Here are four things that you can do to use your Facebook page to reach your goals:
1. Develop community & build RELATIONSHIP.
Everyone has that friend who calls and only talks about themselves. This phenomena is just as true on social media as it is in life. DON'T be that person. Make it all about your customer, donor or friend visiting your page. Make sure that you share things on your social media that are personal, funny, touching and that connect with others. Don't talk AT people. Talk TO them. Engage with them about current events in a relational way.
Most people think that the more you talk about your product or service, the more sales you will generate. This is actually not true. There is a rhythm and a science in how many posts should be relational in nature vs. generating a customer behavior.
When you interact, be authentic. Be yourself. Something that makes your business yours is YOU - your quirks, passions, and likes are things that will help you build links & relationships with others. This key will help you get more likes, comments, and shares.

2. INTERACT with people, answer questions and solve customer problems.
At least twice a day, log on to your accounts and interact for a limited period of time. (Hint: It's called SOCIAL media for a reason.) People want to see that a real person - not a robot - is behind all of the conversation. People want a real, personal connection so much more than they want to be a face-in-the-crowd product fan.
Studies show that about 50% of the time, people will go to a company's Facebook Page before they go to a company's website. People check in with your company or nonprofit on Facebook and will ask questions about your hours, events, or products & services.
Several clients who take our marketing courses also demonstrate this rule to us when - though they have our contact number & email - they prefer to leave a comment or send us a message on Facebook instead.

3. Make an OFFER, A DIRECT ASK or serve others through your product.
Consumers won't spend time trying to figure out what you offer or why your product, service or nonprofit is better than any other. So, it's extremely important for marketers & promoters to be VERY CLEAR about what they're offering, what benefit it presents, and the cost in a very short fashion.
Make an offer to your audience. Tell them the benefit you present in a short, succinct way. Be clear and provide potential customers or donors a DIRECT way to claim your offer.
One way to do this is by creating an offer on your Facebook Page for business or your public page (not private profiles). Include a relevant photo & a one-sentence offer: Get 25% off on (name product or service). Another is by simply creating a post with a photo and then pinning it to the top of your page.

4. NEW: SELL your products directly from your Facebook page.
THIS IS NEW: Facebook is now allowing several accounts to start selling products and processing transactions directly from their pages through a Facebook Store. Find out how to build your Facebook Store here: tinyurl.com/sellfromyourpage
